Liverpool close to completing Shaqiri transfer

Shaqiri may not have kept Stoke in the top flight last season, but he was one of their standout players and has proven himself to be a force in the Premier League.

Liverpool will pay £13 million for Xherdan Shaqiri with the Switzerland global undergoing a medical today in order to finalise his move from Stoke City.

Shaqiri will become the club's third signing of the summer and will see Liverpool's spending for this window exceed £100 million after Fabinho and Naby Keïta officially joined on the 1st of July.

The Switzerland global had been on holiday after helping his country reach the last-16 of the World Cup but he broke off to complete a medical at Melwood on Friday.

Liverpool have completed the signing of Xherdan Shaqiri, the Merseyside club announced on Friday.
