Arpaio speaks to toy doughnut in new Baron Cohen's show

The head of cable channel Showtime on Monday heaped praise on British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, saying the risk of broadcasting his satirical new series had paid off and that he hoped there would be more.

At that time, Arpaio said that he'd consider legal action against Cohen if the clip itself turned out to be unflattering or defamatory against him.

"D'Lish Donut, you have to understand that you have to follow the Constitution and the law and allow people to have guns", Arpaio said.

Cohen also asked Arpaio about his relationship with Trump, drawing him into an off-color discussion of his loyalty to the president.

Cohen's show "Who Is America?" has duped political figures into making questionable admissions or taking peculiar actions.

"You have 43 guns?" "I've been collecting them for the upcoming race war".

He also gives "Finnish" addresses to the camera throughout the segment, which are clearly gibberish.

"I started to get a little angry, a little sad, but I went through it", he told the Arizona Republic.

Arpaio - known as the "toughest sheriff in America" - told Breitbart News last month that he had been tricked into the Cohen interview.

The former lawman announced in January that he meant to run for US Senate - though he might find his credibility rattled once again after being embarrassed by Baron Cohen.

Cohen took on the role of OMGWhizzBoyOMG (real name: Ladislas Kekkonen), for the interview segment with Arpaio, who sat down for the interview while OMGWhizzBoyOMG was performing a full case un-boxing of Shopkins season two toys with rares, and a toy review, never seemed to catch on to very blunt hints Cohen was dropping that maybe this was all just joke.

Former vice president Dick Cheney signed a "waterboard kit" for Baron Cohen and Georgia lawmaker Jason Spencer was forced to resign after screaming the N-word and exposing himself on the show.
