Ex-WWE star found dead

Brian Christopher was found hanging in his cell at the Hardeman County Jail, TBI said. He quickly received medical assistance, but, unfortunately, Lawler ultimately could not be saved.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the circumstances around Lawler's death. Preliminary information indicates the incident does not involve foul play.

TDOC said the Hardeman County jail passed its inspection earlier this year, and the jail is in charge of setting up its procedure on how to handle inmates.

"RIP Brian Christopher thank you for always stealing the show my brother only love HH", Hulk Hogan wrote on Twitter.

USA and Olympic wrestler Kurt Angle said it had been "a very sad day in the history of sports entertainment".

Former WWE star Brian Lawler, the son of legendary wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler, died on Sunday night. As Grandmaster Sexay, he found most of his success in his ultra-popular tag team in the Attitude Era with partner Scotty 2 Hotty, Too Cool. "WWE extends its condolences to Lawlers family, friends and fans", the WWE said in a statement.

Although he was still wrestling in the professional scene, it has been reported that Lawler suffered financial issues in his personal life in the build up to his arrest.

Lawler then bounced around a number of promotions, including a two-year stint in Jeff Jarrett's NWA-Total Nonstop Action. His bail was set at $40,000.

Lawler had a history of running into trouble with the law. He was reportedly charged with theft of services under $1,000. According to police, officers attempted to pull Lawler over but he sped away, prompting a chase. He was surrounded by his father, Jerry Lawler, his brother, Kevin, and other family.

Volkoff - born Josip Nikolai Peruzović in the former Yugoslavia - rose to prominence in the ring during the 1980s, relentlessly taunting American audiences with his scarlet-and-gold outfits and Soviet flag-waving antics. She says he has had heart problems, and that when she went to give him medicine he was not responsive. Initially wearing a mask as Nebula in the tag team The Twilight Zone, he eventually unmasked and became one of USWA's most decorated wrestlers - upon his departure, he was a 24x USWA Heavyweight Champion and 5x USWA Tag Team Champion.

Our thoughts are with both Lawler's and Peruzovic's loved ones during this hard time.
