Iheanacho vows to lift Leicester City starting against Manchester United

Manchester United target Harry Maguire will not be moving Old Trafford in the January transfer window, according to the Leicester City defender's teammate Ben Chilwell.

Luke Shaw's first senior goal proved decisive for Man United in the opening match of the Premier League season, as they held on to beat Leicester.

Puel outlined some of the qualities he thought made Maguire of interest to United. In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "I want to thank everybody at @liverpoolfc for welcoming me into the family and being there for me through the tough and the good times, I wish you all the success in the future and I'll miss you all".

"We showed good control, good football, a lot of chances. We are all happy that he has stayed". I'm happy about the performance but it would have been better to win or draw for our fans.

"Sometimes we were unlucky with the possibilities to score in different moves".

"We lost Riyad (Mahrez) he was a valuable player for us but was important to keep all our best players and have good additions for the squad".

The Daily Mail says that Leicester remain adamant that Maguire is not going to be sold before the transfer deadline and neither incoming move is dependant on it.

"For us it is not possible".

However, Iheanacho is expected to play a role when Leicester face United at Old Trafford tonight, and the Nigeria worldwide has suggested that he is feeling sharp ahead of the new campaign. It is not serious'.

Summer signing Jonny Evans, formerly of United, Nampalys Mendy and Demarai Gray (ankle) are also concerns.

Meanwhile Croat Benkovic, 21, arrives from Dinamo Zagreb for £13m.

"Very good players, fantastic investment, an incredible squad".

The Premier League curtain-raiser against United is expected to mark the debuts of the Foxes other major signings of the summer in Jonny Evans and James Maddison with both having recovered from injury.
