Meghan Markle's father lied to Prince Harry about paparazzi photos

Although the Duchess of Sussex's father, Thomas Markle, was originally tight-lipped when it came to his youngest child, he started blabbing to the media, claiming Meghan had completely cut him out of her life.

Markle, father of Meghan Markle, told the Mail on Sunday that he was in hospital recovering from a heart attack prior to his daughter's wedding when Prince Harry called.

Setting the record straight, Piers ended the discussion with: "I've never asked Meghan for an interview, nor have I turned on her". That it would end in tears. "He said, 'They will eat you alive.' He was right", Thomas Markle said.

Taking umbrage to the family's supposed feud, Piers tweeted: "Dear Meghan Markle, all your fancy new palaces, servants and tiaras won't make up for losing your father".

Markle has reportedly not spoken to Meghan in months, and he feels he is being "punished" for his involvement in a staged paparazzi photo scandal he was involved in shortly before the royal wedding. Speaking at the Royal Foundation Forum back in February with Harry and her in-laws, Kate and William, the Duchess said she was ready to "hit the ground running" with charity work.

"Harry told me that I should never go to the press".

They have not spoken in nearly three months - since the day after Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry, which her father missed due to heart surgery.

Ever since missing the royal wedding in May due to last minute heart surgery, Thomas Markle has been airing his family's private matters in a series of tell-all interviews.

In 2014, the Suits star took to her blog to describe her ultimate princess hero: "Little girls dream of being princesses".

Mr Markle claims he responded: "Maybe it would be better for you guys if I was dead... then you could pretend to be sad". "They took pictures of me buying a toilet and making a big deal out of it/, so I thought this would be a nice way of improving my look". I had it engraved on the back, 'To M.M. From M.M.' and I plan to give it to my daughter one day.

After vowing to never speak to the press again, Meghan Markle's father has done just that.

"He was right." But, Thomas explains he was "hurt" when Meghan told him he wouldn't be able to make a speech at their wedding.

Meghan, 37, is a known foodie and even incorporated her love of food into her Suits role.
