Samsung's new smartphone illustrates the limits of innovation at a time when hardware advances have slowed. Now powered with Bluetooth, the Connected S Pen enables wireless control over the Galaxy Note9 within a 10-meter radius.
"World-class audio company Harman's AKG technology has created awesome sound", said Lee Ji-soo, executive director of the AI Strategy Group at Samsung's Wireless Business Division. This premium smartphone delivers the ultimate in performance, a new S Pen with connectivity for the first time ever, and Samsung's most intelligent camera yet. Based on the fact that Samsung hadn't released any betas yet, and hasn't committed to even a vague timeline, Pie likely won't land on the Note 9 until next spring, at which time its thousand-dollar specs are nearly sure to be outdated.
The Galaxy Note 9's dual-camera system is also getting Samsung's new "intelligent camera" feature that recognizes what kind of object you're photographing and adjusts the settings automatically to take the best shot.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was also lauded by critics upon its release, with Express.co.uk giving it a 5/5 review. But while the Note 9's chips and memory will no doubt hold its own against the rumored 6.5-inch OLED iPhone releasing in the fall, it will fall spectacularly short when it comes to the OS. We should hopefully learn a few new details about the speaker at that conference, as other things are still as of yet unknown. Experience Samsung DeX with easy-to-carry HDMI adapters3.
What is interesting, though, is the insinuation that Samsung considered 5G support but came across technical issues, with the company instead looking towards a "dedicated" 5G smartphone instead of debuting the technology via the next S range phone.
Samsung also previewed a new voice-assisted speaker, the Galaxy Home, using its homegrown digital assistant, Bixby.
