Andy Dalton throws 4 TD passes, Bengals beat Ravens 34-23

The Ravens defense sent quarterback Nathan Peterman to the bench (where he arguably should have been anyway) and made Josh Allen's debut far from memorable in rainy weather in Baltimore.

As Week 2 of the 2018 NFL Season is about to get underway fans can catch a glimpse of the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Ravens head to Cincinnati to face the Bengals to kick off Week 2, and we'll be following along with the action right here.

The Bengals sprinted to an early lead Thursday night at home against the Ravens and held on to win, 34-23. Cincinnati is going to have to pick things up if they want to close this one out and get to 2-0.

Some were surprised when the Bengals stuck with Marvin Lewis as their coach after consecutive losing seasons, with records of 7-9 past year and 6-9-1 in 2016. Andy Dalton was as strong as ever and AJ Green continues to be excellent at WR. Touchdown No. 3 came after the Ravens' third punt in four possession, as Green bested Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey on a 3rd-and-goal catch to give the Bengals a three-TD edge early.

"The sky is the limit for this team", Green said in a postgame appearance alongside Dalton on NFL Network.

Geno Atkins (two sacks, four QB hits) repeatedly hounded Flacco, who completed 32 of 55 passes for 376 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions while struggling with his accuracy.

Dalton and Green are the mainstays of the offense.

However, after a few series in the second half, Mixon has checked out again. The Cincinnati defense is playing for now without linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who's serving a four-game suspension for a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

"You better bounce back quick on a Thursday night and we didn't do it quick enough tonight", Flacco said. In his first year as the undisputed no.1 back in Cincinnati, Mixon touched the ball 22 times for 149 yards and a touchdown.

Bengals play at Carolina.

After having eight-plus months to stew on the playoff berth that slipped away, the Ravens took out their frustrations on those very Bills in the season opener, romping to a 40-0 lead in less than 35 minutes before settling for a 47-3 victory.

The Bengals opened their season with a 34-23 win over the Colts on Sunday. Flacco had some shaky moments.

Much remains to play out.

Why will the Bengals win?

The Ravens offensive line had their hands full against a supremely talented Bengals defensive line, which was led by fearlessly by Geno Atkins.
