Apple expected to unveil bigger, pricier iPhone on Wednesday

While it's unlikely that anyone from Apple would mention the Note 9 or any other competing smartphone by name, it will be interesting to see how Apple presents the iPhone's storage capacities and battery life in relation to the competitor. But luckily you can watch it in a variety of ways, and they keep adding more ways to watch it as time goes on. The clever marketing geniuses at Apple have pre-installed a Apple Events app on every Apple TV running the latest tvOS.

Well, it looks like the speculation over the names of the new iPhones is over. Which means that September's event is definitely not going to be all about the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max (or whatever its called), and the 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD display. Apple didn't comment ahead of Wednesday's event, which is being held at its Cupertino, California, headquarters.

Completely separately, it appears that dogged Apple fans from a German website called AllThings.how have combed through Apple's own site to confirm the final names of these devices. There are links to some silicone and leather cases as well in Black, White, Midnight Blue, Productured, Stone, Taupe, Saddle Brown and many more color options. We'll find out here in a few hours. It would be one of the largest mass-market phones on the market, measuring about an inch larger than the screen on Apple's current largest phone, the iPhone 8 Plus. In addition to new iPhones, we'll also likely see updated wearables, new tablets and perhaps a refreshed computer or two.
