The friend, Shane Powers, explained that Ariana was "deeply helpful and effective in keeping Mac sober" and there wasn't "anybody more supportive of him being sober" than Ariana. "She was a f-king G to him ..." According to Powers, Grande had a positive influence on Miller when they were dating.

Following the news of Mac's passing, Ariana Grande disabled commenting on her Instagram, reportedly due people implying that she was somehow to blame for his death. She was "ready to go to the wall" to help him and was said to be hit hard by his death. Notable moments came from his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande, who posted a striking photo of Mac over the weekend, as well as fellow rappers like Chance, Kyle, Wiz Khalifa, Post Malone, and more.

"Whether he's an addict or not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy", Powers continued. She was all about him being healthy.

J. Cole paid tribute to Mac Miller during his Las Vegas show on Friday (September 7), after learning that the Swimming rapper died earlier that day. The couple split in April after two years of dating.

The 26-year-old Pittsburgh native was found dead in his Los Angeles home last week.

On Monday a representative for the LA County Coroner said that investigators have released the body to the family but a cause of death will not be announced until the results of toxicology tests that can take weeks or months.
