All aboard the hype train! For more, head to EW. But at least now we can see it in the iconic red, blue, and gold we know as Carol's iconic look since she first took on the mantle herself in 2012.

Before Marvel tells us how the Avengers will undo Thanos' snap and bring the fallen heroes back to life, there's one more story that we need to see, and that's Captain Marvel. Not sure who Captain Marvel is or why you should be hyped or what she means for the MCU?

SPOILERS follow for Avengers: Infinity War! You have been warned. Maybe because this will be a film set in the 90s it was decided the bold colors will work, or perhaps this is just how Captain Marvel rolls.

Here's a look at Captain Marvel's Starforce team, an elite group of space-faring military fighters who travel the cosmos keeping chumps in line. There's also some history behind the named shared with the DC Comics hero who's own movie Shazam! comes out soon. In Captain Marvel, "he's still a high-ranking member of Kree society".

We can also add that apparently SHIELD doesn't have a great track record of being a secure organization as Captain America: The Winter Soldier saw it revealed HYDRA had also infiltrated the secret organization; I wonder if HYDRA will somehow factor into Captain Marvel? They're most famous for creating the Inhumans and for their war with the Skrull that almost decimated Earth.

Nick Fury is young again and has two eyes!

Captain Marvel is the first solo female superhero lead in the MCU, something that's taken 21 movies and over a decade to achieve.

Keen-eyed observers will also recognise Djimon Hounsou among the Starfleet crew as Korath and Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser - both have previously appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Another option, and one that would definitely be internet-breaking, would be any news about the now untitled Avengers 4 that will conclude the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

Just to clarify, In the comics if Carol Danvers obtains enough energy she basically does whatever the heck she wants. "Captain Marvel" is set for release in March 2019, and producer Nate Moore recently gave fans an insight into what they should expect from the film, saying it won't be like the typical origin story.

The first question answered is what costume/suit Larson will be rocking.
