We still have one month left before the Google's annual event so we might get to see the actually Pixel 3 XL or we might all be right all along and the Pixel 3 XL will come with a notch (fortunately or unfortunately). There's no information yet on why Google chose to change things up for this year, but it's expected that the company will announce other hardware products alongside the Pixel 3 handsets.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are part of the third generation Pixel smartphone edition that debuted in 2016.

Microsoft confirmed through a teaser that it will hold a new event on October 2. A few images were leaked on the web, images that were said to be from an internal presentation slide at Google, in which a phone called the Pixel Ultra was mentioned. Out of the two, the interest in the Pixel 3 XL is high. For comparison, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were launched in India at Rs 61,000 and Rs 73,000, respectively. The invite sent to the company also carried a clue in the form of a simple text, which is "I 3 NY" phrase.

The Pixel 3 is expected to arrive with a 5.5-inch display that will have HDR support. The Pixel 3 XL has been repeatedly ridiculed by YouTubers due to its ugly notch - we agree, that notch is too big and looks somewhat disgusting. Just last week, Google Pixel 3 XL was found spotted on the back of Lyft. The Pixel 3, meanwhile, hasn't been leaked this extensively but its photos too are easily available on the web. We have seen Pixel 3 XL appearing in videos, featuring in reviews and even going on sale at a price of $2000.

The theory is based on the fact that various YouTubers, who have been supplied the device in question, have been contacted directly by Google to ask for permission to use their Pixel 3 XL videos, many of which complain about the phone's prominent notch saying that it is ugly. Though the phone is expected to feature dual front-facing snappers for improved selfies.
