Will you be signing up for Switch Online once it debuts on September 18th? All users will receive a seven day free trial.
Nintendo Switch Online has been a long time coming.
Nintendo has announced that the Switch's online service will launch in the United States on September 18 and in the UK on September 19.
As previous reports indicated, the Nintendo Direct presentation has been rescheduled for tomorrow.
In case you've forgotten, the service will work basically like the Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus: You'll pay to play certain games online, get access to cloud saves, and basically anything else that requires connection.
The site also lists Soccer, Balloon Fight, Tennis, Ice Climber, Donkey Kong, Dr. Mario, Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Bros. Not all games will support this feature, but it's a relief to see Nintendo add a feature that should have been ready at launch.
There will be three options of purchase, including a 1-month membership that will cost $3.99 USD, a 3-month that will be $7.99 USD, and a 12-month subscription that will be $19.99 USD.
