On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Thursday, Akshay, who will be seen playing a supervillain named Richard, tweeted: "On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, doing Shree Ganesh of India's Grandest Film: "2.0"!" The film was directed by Shankar in which Rajinikanth plays a dual role of scientist Dr Vaseegaran and his own creation Chitti the Robot. Be it the way mobile phones are being snatched away from people, the swirling whirlpool of bird, graphic transitions- all point to one thing- it's going to be a terrific visual splendor.
The second half of the teaser sees Akshay's evil character destroying the city as Chitti takes it upon himself to save the world from an apocalyptic disaster.
The flick will hit the silver screens on November 29 this year.
Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's movie 2.0 has created a lot of buzz and now with the release of the teaser, many can not wait to watch it.
Superstar Rajinikanth hardly has flop films except a recent few, and its without a doubt that the film-makers of Robo 2.0 have done everything to make the VFX look as real and believable as possible.
The film 2.0 is a sequel to Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Robot. Starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar as the protagonist and antagonist respectively, the VFX spectacle also has Amy Jackson in a pivotal role. AR Rahman joining Shankar and Rajinikanth is expected to thrill the viewers by providing music to perfection.
