A major quake in Japan, that has left millions without electricity, has caused Nintendo to delay the new Nintendo Direct. "Thank you for your understanding". As of this post, the new time and date are still unknown.

We should hear more about the Nintendo 3DS lineup of games, with the software library slowing down significantly since the release of the Nintendo Switch. Perhaps the game will be covered in the delayed Nintendo Direct?

The natural disaster occurred early Thursday with a magnitude of 6.7 and follows Typhoon Jebi, the strongest typhoon to hit the mainland of Japan since 1993. Multiple deaths, injuries, and missing people have been reported in the wake of this natural disaster.

Due to this very bad tragedy, Nintendo made a decision to delay this week's Direct.
