The Queen is reportedly hosting a lavish bash at Buckingham Palace to celebrate Charles' milestone birthday on Wednesday night.

The images, taken in the grounds of Clarence House, show Charles and Camilla sitting on a bench with grandchildren Prince George, five, and Princess Charlotte, three, either side of them.

In anticipation of the future king's milestone 70year, Clarence House has released two gorgeous portraits of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall surrounded by their family: the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their three children and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The guest list is likely to include Charles's friends from his public and private life, members of the royal family and others who have played an important role in the prince's career.

Kylie, 50 and Cheryl, 35, were pictured shaking hands with the heir to throne, whom they have met several times throughout their career; Cheryl has also worked with Charles extensively in the past in collaboration with his Prince's Trust charity.

The Prince of Wales has been photographed surrounded by his family to celebrate his 70th birthday - with Prince George sat giggling on his grandfather's knee. Prince Louis rests in the arms of his mother Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge. In contrast, the second shot is more natural and shows the family laughing and looking more relaxed. Kate looks absolutely lovely in a navy dress with white polka dots and a white collar and cuffs.

In seventh place was Prince Charles, followed by Princess Anne and her daughter, Zara Philips.

William and Harry both opt for a smart-casual look, donning suits without ties, while their father stands out in a blue striped suit and light blue tie. It gave fans the first glimpse of the young prince since his christening and the indication that there would be more family photos to come.
