John Williams is composing music for the new lands, and you can see and hear him working on it below. You can watch the video below.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - aka the "Star Wars theme park" - isn't opening in Disneyland and Disney Word until next year. There are also looks at the alien world of Batuu and the Black Spire trading outpost, which together make up the bulk of the themed Star Wars area. Guests will be able to take the controls and be part of one of three different roles on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction.

The Williams news was released today at the fan gathering Destination D in Orlando, along with video previews of the Star Wars attractions from Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Consumer Products.

Millennium Falcon: Smugger's Run is one of the two Star Wars attractions which had its name revealed Saturday. Taking place on a First Order starship, it puts riders in the middle of an epic battle between between the First Order and the Resistance.

It's not clear from the video how the attraction actually works, but early chatter from Disney has suggested there's a role-playing element to the guest experience at Galaxy's Edge.

The other ride is a simulator called "Star Wars: Ride of Resistance". It is scheduled to open in late fall 2019, months after its twin opens in Southern California.
