While we don't know what's in store for Jon and the rest of our favorite living Thrones' characters, if the final season is anything like it was for the cast filming it, we're in for a brutal six weeks.
The final season of Game of Thrones will screen in New Zealand at the same time it screens in the US.
A new trailer released today, called Crypts of Winterfell, shows Jon Snow, Sansa Stark and Arya Stark walking through the crypts underneath the grounds of Winterfell. However, HBO has promised that each of the six episodes will be longer and could run up to 90 minutes each!
After months of building anticipation among fans, HBO dropped the air date ahead of its third season premiere of "True Detective" with a new teaser video. The piece was shot in the crypts at Winterfell. The makers have at last ended the suspense and also given the premiere date, which is April 14. The crypt teaser begins with heavy overtures of Jon's true Targaryen parentage as he walks past Lyanna Stark's crypt. The two haven't seen each other since the second episode of season one, when Jon gifted Arya her precious sword, Needle. It's not footage from within the final season but more like an original promotional ad. Winter has come, and that wind from an ice dragon's wings is cutting straight to the core of Game of Thrones fans everywhere.
Game of Thrones returns Sunday, April 14 on HBO.
