Watch Patriots’ Sony Michel Score First Career Playoff TD Vs. Chargers

When the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers square off in the Divisional Round playoff game Sunday at Gillette Stadium all eyes will be on two veteran quarterbacks.

It has certainly been a hard week for the Chargers defensive lineman, as his 7-week-old daughter, Makenna, passed away on Thursday after dealing with a defective heart condition.

For Los Angeles, this free-flowing approach starts with Pro Bowl wideout Keenan Allen. She was born with a rare genetic condition known as Trisomy 13 that causes delays in development and affects several organs.

"You know, it's been a tough year, period, but she would want me to be here doing my job", Mebane said.

Amena moved with their two children to Omaha, Nebraska, for a hospital specializing in the care they would need. "No matter where I am, I still think about her".

"I'm still thankful, and I thank God every day", Mebane said.

Mebane told USA Tday for a December 21 story that Chargers owner Dean Spanos let him use his private plane to get there for the surgery.

Sony Michel has impressed in his debut season with the New England Patriots, and it didn't take very long for the rookie running back to make an impact in his first career postseason game.
