The crossover content revolves around a new, original quest line available to all Monster Hunter: World players who reached Hunter Rank 16 or above. PS4 and Xbox One players get the event today, but PC players have to wait for the event.
The main highlight here is the new mission titled Trouble in the Ancient Forest, which sees Geralt tracking a beast known as the Leshen. The Witcher 3 players will be familiar with the hard-hitting, magic using Leshen which dwells in forests.
Once players complete Geralt's quest within The Witcher 3 and Monster Hunter: World crossover, you'll earn a slew of The Witcher themed rewards.
The update sees Geralt hunting for an ancient Leshen by accepting the contract "Trouble in the Ancient Forest", and if you complete your task you'll receive an armour set blueprint that'll be available for crafting, a Nekker skin for your Palico, a cursed staff, and a silver sword. Players will be able to talk to other characters, and their dialogue choices will determine how the story unfolds.
We've put hundreds of hours into Monster Hunter World and this has been partly due to the great support the title has been given.
Do you meet the standards required to take on Geralt's contracts?
It's unknown exactly what else the Witcher has brought to the game along with him. Apparently, the new update will feature a whole new icy and snowy region for the players to hunt in and a monster which looks similar to one from the previous "Monster Hunter" entries. Filming kicked off late previous year with a budget of $60 million, and now it has progressed to the point where Sony Pictures is confident in setting a release date.
