Trump’s 2019 State of the Union: What Investors Should Watch

The President's State of the Union address is set to begin at 9 p.m. on Tuesday night.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Davids' daughter Debra, granddaughter Heather and great-granddaughter Madison will be at the State of the Union. That has led Trump to contemplate declaring a national emergency, which he says would let him reallocate funding from elsewhere without congressional action.

White House adviser Kellyanne Conway told reporters February 4 that the president had the "absolute right to declare a national emergency".

President Donald Trump refused to rule out another shutdown but also signaled that he could declare a national emergency to reallocate resources to fund a wall along the southern border.

Asked about a potential emergency declaration, Hoeven said the best solution is "getting to one where Congress puts together a funding package for border security, including all three components as I've laid out, that is acceptable to the House, the Senate and to the president". Kamala Harris of California, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Elizabeth Warren of MA and Kirsten Gillibrand of NY.

Another Democratic star, Stacey Abrams, will deliver the party's response to Mr Trump.

Despite the shutdown, the United States economy added a robust 304,000 jobs in January, marking 100 straight months of job growth, the longest such period on record. That's the longest such period on record.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who won plaudits from Democrats for her hard-line negotiating tactics during the shutdown, will be seated behind the president. Despite the objections of some advisers, Trump announced in December that he was withdrawing USA forces in Syria. "We'll be at 100". According to the Pentagon, the group is still able to coordinate offensives and counteroffensives.

Yet although President Trump's administration has offered an excerpt from Tuesday's State of the Union which could point to a conciliatory message, many other factors suggest that Trump's big speech will have a very different effect.

Joshua Trump, a 6th grade DE student bullied by his fellow students for sharing a last name with President Donald Trump, has been invited by the White House to attend the State of the Union address.

The invitation of Joshua Trump is the latest initiative of Melania Trump's Be Best campaign, in which the First Lady "encourage [s] everyone to be kind to each other and treat each other with respect in everyday life and on social media".
