White: McGregor could make UFC return against Cerrone

McGregor is now banned from fighting after the Nevada Athletic State Commission (NSAC) gave him a six-month backdated ban for the role he played in the post-fight brawls that marred his UFC 229 loss to Nurmagomedov.

"I'm ready to fight, they were the ones who banned me".

"It's definitely gonna be this year", Cerrone said. Fined $500,000 and suspended for nine months, Nurmagomedov was obviously upset with how harsh his punishment was, but there was something else bothering him.

While incredibly noble, Nurmagomedov's decision puts a bit of a hold on the entire lightweight division.

Fortunately, UFC President Dana White has an idea to solve said issue. After all, you would think any bout for an interim title would need to involve Tony Ferguson - the man who last held that belt and in fact, never lost it in a fight.

"Yeah, it probably would". "I haven't heard Khabib say any of that. It was really nice to hear his speech, how he praised me and said that the country was proud and was waiting to welcome me home". "So he hasn't said that to me - we'll deal with it when we deal with it".

"It could be between [Dustin] Poirier and [Tony] Ferguson".

"I think that they will create an interim title".

Nurmagomedov said that after he met DiCaprio in Paris, the actor invited him out for dinner. Mayweather, however, gave McGregor credit for hanging in tough and going a few rounds with him after the fight was over. At the moment I don't know for sure'.
