Ander Herrera To Stay Put At Manchester United Amid PSG Interest

Ander Herrera remains keen to stay at Manchester United despite a stand-off with the club over a new contract.

Herrera has been a pivotal figure in the Manchester United midfield, especially after the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in December, starring alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic as part of the clear cut first choice midfield trio.

Sportsmail understands that Arsenal have also registered an interest in Herrera if he decides to leave United at the end of the season after five years at Old Trafford.

'It's logical when you've got three months left on your contact and there is an worldwide break.

Explaining he isn't "driving himself crazy" with what will happen in four months, Herrera is happy in Manchester, a club where he feels fans "love" him and where he has been treated "phenomenally".

"I knew something would come out". I take it as normal, I focus on playing football in the month and a half that remains.

'I enjoy playing for the biggest club in England.

"What I see myself is trying to win against Watford next week".

Herrera is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer and has already received a £150,000-a-week contract offer from PSG. This reportedly trumps United's proposal considerably with the Ligue 1 outfit able to up their offer because there won't be a transfer fee. "Things happen if you deserve it and if you are an honest and hardworking person, they arrive". But, despite his importance, there have been ever growing concerns at Manchester United over the fact that his current contract will run out in the summer.
