Firestorm will be playable in Solo, Duos, and Squads-which is a bit of a surprise seeing as we originally thought it would only feature squads-and games will begin with players parachuting in and frantically gathering loot to get themselves equipped for battle as fast as possible. And now a couple hours later, a new tutorial video of Firestorm has leaked, showing off the best-look at the mode yet.
After watching the new Battlefield 5 Firestorm trailer, we tried to find out any comments from EA or DICE and found, that the Battle Royale Mode is finally coming to the Battlefield 5 and it would be just an addition to the Battlefield experience. The difference with Firestorm is that you can shoot a pistol when floundering about on the floor, and also, once you do die - by getting finished off, or bleeding out - you can't be respawned by teammates at a nearby beacon. One of the more unique aspects in Firestorm is the ability to fire your sidearm when you're knocked out. Maybe this will spark Dice to release something more official. The map will also include Conquest style objectives, which can be liberated and will likely reward players with vehicles or reinforcements.
Each class of weapon uses its own type of ammo and you'll only be able to carry a limited amount, so inventory management will be a concern.
Battlefield 5 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, EA need to be very careful how it is accessed by players, how it's marketed and making sure to keep it relevant with updates and additional content. Vehicles will make you pretty deadly and will help you traverse the map quickly, but they will give away your location and leave you vulnerable to anti-vehicle weaponry.
