We've been hearing about a rumored March 25th event that would bring about at least the video service ahead of any hardware like second-generation AirPods or a new iPad mini.

Sources previously told Reuters that the company is targeting April for the launch of a streaming television service that will likely include subscription TV service.

Apple, which recently stopped disclosing iPhone unit sales data, is increasingly trying to turn investors toward the long-term value of its services ecosystem.

Apple has reportedly invested more than $1.3 billion into its video streaming launch, including a signed partnership with Oprah. It's expected to launch this summer, and Apple is said to have invited celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon to attend the event, according to Bloomberg. The new service will give Apple device owners free access to the company's new original content, and it will also come with a Channels system that allows users to subscribe to platforms like HBO via an additional subscription.
