World’s first 5G phone released in South Korea

Over the past decade, Samsung has worked closely with network operators, device manufacturers and software developers to make 5G a reality with its complete end-to-end solution.

A tit-for-tat race between three South Korean telecommunications carriers and Verizon started when the South Korean government set the launch date for Friday, exactly a week before Verizon had planned to roll out its 5G services.

For those on the anti-Apple side of the eternal iOS-Android debate, the release of a new Samsung Galaxy model is a big deal, and the recent unveiling of the brand-new Samsung Galaxy S10 was no exception. "Electronic companies like Samsung, the factories, production lines, contents that goes inside 5G phones ... they believe everything that is constituting the IT ecosystem will meet a new era under 5G network".

Samsung Electronics yesterday released the Galaxy S10 5G, the world's first available smartphone with built-in fifth-generation communications technology, as South Korea seeks to build a lead in the transformative system. No information about pricing options emerged though, so we're still in the dark on that one.

We still have no idea how much the Galaxy S10 5G will cost in the United States, but it'll probably be more expensive than all the other S10 phones. "I hope faster speeds will help me manage my time better". Unfortunately, the latter of those two upgrades has been the subject of multiple complaints since the phone's launch, the latest of which might be the most worrisome of all.

Mobile carriers are competitively developing and introducing photorealistic live streaming services and virtual reality experiences to prove that 5G network is a change that is worth the cost of purchasing a new phone and plan.

We have come across some leaks earlier surrounding the Galaxy S10 5G smartphone which suggested an upcoming launch.

Samsung's first 5G phone will launch in Korea on Friday, with prices starting at around $1,231 for the 256GB version, but you won't have to wait too long to get one in the U.S., as the Verizon version is rumored to launch in mid-May.
