"We will continue to provide quality pre-sales and after-sales service as always", HTC announced on Weibo, according to the Android Central.

As early as August past year, HTC announced that several U phones are getting a slice of Android 9 Pie. But that doesn't mean HTC has abandoned its phone business altogether. HTC has finally announced the schedule for the release of the Pie before the Android Q is revealed. Back in March, the company has announced that it will start rolling out the Android Pie Update to some of its smartphones very soon. The answer is No, None of the HTC Devices will be getting the Official Android Q Beta or the Stable Version of the update. The HTC U11 will be updated first, around the end of May, to be followed by the U12 Plus in June, and the U11 Plus starting at the end of June. There was a time when HTC was the king of Android smartphones, a time when its phones were some of the most sought-after handsets in the entire market. Also, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has not updated its last flagships to latest Android yet.

In its better days, HTC used to be one of the first Android manufacturers to ship the latest version of Android on its existing offerings as well as new phones.
