Manchester City defend Premier League title, Liverpool second

Added creativity is considered by many to be a priority for a side that fell one point short of Premier League champions Manchester City in a thrilling fight to the finish in 2018-19.

Liverpool FC can still end the season on a high, however, as they will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final in Madrid on 1 June.

"Ninety-seven points wins every single league apart from last season so if we do that again we will keep knocking on the door and we won't be far off it". It would be nice to get an award for the biggest development I can remember - we made a big step.

"We used the base from previous year, but we have made a big step".

"As long as City are around with the quality they have and the financial power and all that stuff, it's not that any other team will pass them easily".

"If we're ready to make the next step we'll make that next step".

Jurgen Klopp admits it will be hard to stop Manchester City dominating the Premier League but insists his Liverpool team are one of the best in history and very much up for the fight.

And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: "I'll take it".
Always after a good year we lost key players [in the past] but we won't [this time] so we'll be there again.

Liverpool's No. 10 has been his side's outstanding attacking player this season and it was fitting that he finished the Premier League campaign with a bang.

"On Tuesday night we didn't care what anyone outside of the LFC family thought about our situation - we were all about creating our own moments".

Wolves finished its first season back in the Premier League in seventh place, which could earn a place in next season's Europa League if City beats Watford in the FA Cup final next weekend. We were always competitive. "We have three weeks to prepare for the Champions League final - let's give it a go".

The club endured such dark days towards the start of this decade but the good times are well and truly back at Anfield.

"We only lost one game and you expect to win the league, but it is what it is and we go again next year". We were really good until 1-0, what happened then was clear. At that moment [when Liverpool fans celebrated Brighton's goal] it was a shock for everyone and Wolves were there. We decide how much we enjoy this season and nobody else. So still being in the game, fighting for the result, scoring goals, celebrating - all of us.
