Brad Stevens of the Boston Celtics looks on during the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at TD Garden on January 02, 2019 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Brogdon was invaluable to Milwaukee this season, starting all 64 games in which he appeared and giving them crucial shooting and playmaking from the perimeter.

"It's been 18 years since we been in the Eastern Conference Finals", said Belot.

"They played like they wanted it", Irving said. And as they look back on what has been such a confusing and disappointing season, they will try to find answers that they couldn't to solve their woes over the past seven months.

Milwaukee didn't have all that impressive shooting numbers either, going 44 of 100 from the field and 8 of 37 from the arc, but the Bucks did have 56 rebounds and committed just seven turnovers in Game 4.

Does Rozier have any interest in returning to the Celtics next season?

This loss sends the Celtics into a summer where it is the team facing big questions about chemistry and fit, not to mention the future of free agent to be Kyrie Irving. Khris Middleton has averaged 19.5 points and collected 5.2 rebounds while shooting 45.9 percent over the last 10 games for Milwaukee.

The Bucks are going to need that kind of balance in the next round, but they looked like a team that has grown a lot in the previous year - their time is now.

Kyrie Irving went 6-for-21 from the field and scored 15 points for the Celtics. "That's why I don't bitch and complain", Rozier said. "I feel like it's a fresh start, whether I'm here or whether I'm gone".

The Boston Celtics have no room left for error. "I think there's a combination of things that need to happen, but I need to do a better job of getting us organized with both [starting and reserve] groups but especially that second group".
