Next-gen iPhone XR is confirmed to sport a dual camera setup

Apple iPhones tend to be the favourites among the speculation circles. Each year, months before the launch, the internet gets flooded with many leaks that indicate what the next iPhone would have in store for consumers.

This year too, several reports and renders have surfaced that show what can be expected from the iPhone lineup of 2019.

A recent report revealed that the iPhone XR has been the best selling iPhone in the United States and so much so that it has trounced sales of the iPhone XS and XS Max. A phone case design was leaked recently suggesting that Apple's next flagship smartphone will have a triple-lens rear camera.

All three of the 2019 iPhone devices are expected to feature a 12 megapixel front-facing camera, up form the 2018 models' 7 megapixel shooter. The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max are Apple's flagship smartphones for 2019, so they're obviously the most talked about models right now. Apple's mid-range iPhone 11R is not expected to have the same triple-lens rear camera as its pricier counterparts, but it seemingly will have a similar square camera bump. The lenses can be seen with a black coating like the iPhone XI as reported previously. It basically looks like the current iPhone XR, save for a major design change at the back. This will make it slightly bigger than the current generation iPhone XS and XS Max handsets. We've gotten all sorts of detail from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the most accurate Apple insider in the world, and it's obviously safe to say that the info he shared is accurate. OnLeaks also reported that Apple would continue using an LCD panel for the iPhone XR 2019 with a resolution of 1,792 * 828 pixels. Just like its predecessor, the iPhone XR 2019 should also provide wireless charging along with an IP67 water/dust resistance rating. There's a lightning port at the bottom that's accompanied by speaker grills on both sides. The right-hand side of the device houses a power button and a SIM card tray. As usual, the camera bump will be the thickest point, at 8.5mm.
