Realme X, Realme X Lite launched with Snapdragon 710: Specs, Price


Now the first talk about the Realme X, The Realme X features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED full-screen display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. You can't expand the memory though. Front side it features 16MP Sony IMX471 pop-up selfie camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The handset runs on Android 9 Pie that uses AI, making it adapt to how you use the smartphone. This is paired with a 5MP secondary camera for ascertaining depth information. The smartphone also comes with a 48M primary camera with Sony's IMX586 sensor that supports Nightscape and Chroma Boost modes, AI scene detection and 960fps super slo-mo recording. The company told that this elevating mechanism is tested around 200,000 times.

The Realme X will start its life in China, but will make its way to India shortly after that.

The smartphone comes with the 6th generation in-display fingerprint sensor. If that doesn't look enough to you, then Realme has also partnered with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa to debut garlic and onion color variants. The phone is priced at 1499 yuan (US$ 219 / Rs. 15,325 approx.) for the 4/64GB variant, 1599 yuan (US$ 232 / Rs. 16,345 approx.) for the 6/64GB variant and 1799 yuan (US$ 261 / Rs. 18,395 approx.) for the 8/128GB variant. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 710 processor along with Adreno 616 GPU. What does come as a bit of a freaky surprise is that the Realme X has two special editions based on vegetables. It offers up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. All three models come with a microSD card that supports storage expansion up to 256GB. With bloatware colorOS 6 over Android 9 Pie, it has Dolby Atmos feature and supports VOOC 3.0 charging for its 20W 3765mAh battery.

The new phones also offer "960fps/720P and 120fps/1080P" slow motion video shooting. Realme X hasn't yet ditched the headphone jack and packs a 3,765mAh battery, and Oppo's VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

At the back, there is a dual camera module comprising 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The device comes in Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple colors and will be available soon. The Realme X Lite is priced at 1,199 RMB (4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage) and 1,299 RMB (for the 6GB/64GB variant) and 1,499 RMB ($220).
