Jessica Biel says she is ‘not against vaccinations’ following backlash

"This week I went to Sacramento to talk to legislators in California about a proposed bill", Biel wrote alongside a photo of her standing outside in an off-white outfit.

The state bill in question has been criticized by anti-vaccination advocates like Kennedy.

'[Jessica] is upset about this issue because of its particular cruelty.

If you don't know, Jessica was labeled as being anti-vaccines when she was seen lobbying with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

"I am not against vaccinations", she posted to Instagram.

"So Jessica Biel is an anti-vaxx activist... she's canceledt [sic], next", one person tweeted, while another person shared Jessica and Robert's photo and wrote, "I'm so exhausted of the anti-vaxx stupidity".

Biel, who is best known for her role on the CW series "7th Heaven", wrote on Instagram that she supports children getting vaccinations but is concerned that the bill's medical exemption requirements are too strict. The new state bill would require the State Department of Public Health to approve every medical exemption form written by a physician, as the existing law now allows children to skip out on immunizations with a written statement from their physician - AKA, it would be much harder to flake on vaccination day with a paper slip.

Kennedy's anti-vax post featuring Biel received congratulatory comments from former porn star Jenna Jameson, Golden Globe-nominated actress Rosanna Arquette, and James Van Der Beek's wife Kimberly.

"I would say that she was for safe vaccines and for medical freedom", Kennedy told the outlet, before reiterating the pair's issues with the proposed bill.

"That's why I spoke to legislators and argued against this bill", Biel wrote Thursday. "She has friends who have been vaccine-injured who would be forced to leave the state".

Despite the "anti-vaxx" tweets, Jessica has yet to publicly decry vaccinations. Additionally, SB 276 would also require that the state's Department of Public Health create a standardized exemption request form for physician use.

"Thank you for being courageous and standing up on such an important issue that affects so many families across our nation", read a comment, while one mom implored Biel to "consider all sides please". That same year, an anonymous "friend" told In Touch that Biel and Timberlake had not vaccinated their infant son, Silas.
