In a statement, a Love Island spokesman told Express.co.uk: "After breaking the villa rules S had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa".

20-year-old Sherif from London is a chef and semi-pro rugby player.

A spokesperson for Love Island said that Sherif had broken the rules but did not reveal exactly happened.

Producers have also refused to specify which rule/s Sherif broke to result in his eviction.

He added: "I regret that I didn't conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it's something I know I will take on board and learn from". He described himself as "upbeat and cheeky and outrageous" and prides himself on his ability to make people laugh.

Piers Morgan has been left raging over Sherif Lanre's shock departure from Love Island on Tuesday.

Fans shared a host of memes while widely speculating why he had been axed from the show, while others were quick to point out that his co-star Anton Danyluk, 24, would swiftly step into his shoes with his partner Anna Vakili, 28.

Anna made a decision to stay with Sherif and chose to couple up with him again on Friday at the recoupling.

Sherif is not the first person to be booted from the show.

In one shocking scene the reality TV star was seen shouting and screaming after Kady accidentally spilt her wine over her leg. Malia accused her of doing it on goal and responded by shoving her co-star.

"You never really get a lot of drink but they do say if someone's had too much to drink do not have sex with them".

According to the MailOnline, Sherif's mam said: "I don't know the real reason yet, but I'm determined to get to the bottom of it".

"But I'm his mum, I'm going to think it was a bit unfair".
