Five suspects, including the alleged gunman, have now been detained in connection to the shooting. The driver of the motorcycle, Eddy Vladimir Feliz Garcia, was apprehended and beaten by bystanders after the motorcycle faltered. According to Dominican Chief of Police Ney A. Bautista, "several individuals" were paid less than the equivalent of $8,000 to carry out the act, and an alleged shooter has been arrested.
