This Is Not A Drill: Friends Is Coming To Theaters This Fall

Fathom Events and Warner Bros. are celebrating the milestone 25th anniversary of the legendary comedy series Friends with a three-night special event.

In celebration of their anniversary, 12 fan-favorite episodes will be shown on the big screens this fall.

On Sept. 23, Sept. 28, and October 2, more than 1,000 theaters across the country will feature four episodes per night that have been newly remastered in 4K from the original 35mm camera negative. A complete list of participating theaters will be announced on August 16.

According to Warner Brothers, the episodes will include never-seen-before content and exclusive interviews.

Television Group, Lisa Gregorian also released a statement that reads in part: 'The cultural impact Friends continues to have, 25 years after its premiere, is astounding and a true testament to Marta Kauffman, David Crane, Kevin Bright and the incredibly talented cast's genius.

The new episodes are said to have been remastered in 4K resolution. It is wonderful to know the series is still bringing people of all ages together. The first episode aired on 22 September, 1994 and the show ran for 10 seasons.

Aniston appeared on the series alongside Courteney Cox, 55, Lisa Kudrow, 56, David Schwimmer, 52, Matthew Perry, 49, and Matt LeBlanc, 52, for a decade until its cancellation in 2004.
