This story takes place in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, almost 30 years after Judgement Day, and stars a brand new hero in the Terminator universe, Jacob Rivers, a soldier in the Resistance led by John Connor.
Are you excited for Terminator: Resistance? The downside, developer Teyon's last movie outing - Rambo: The Video Game - was critically panned. Recently, Mortal Kombat 11 announced that a T-800 Terminator will be one of the guest characters you can get in the Season Pass. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint will also be getting Terminator content of some kind, and earlier this year multiplayer game Deathgarden: Bloodharvest put out a T-800 skin for one of its characters.
Developed by Teyon and published by Reef Entertainment, Terminator: Resistance's story is set 30 years after Judgement Day. Despite the fact that Jacob is just a private, he'll soon discover that he's been targeted by the latest threat from SKYNET and marked for termination!
Players can battle them with a diverse arsenal of plasma weaponry and, for a franchise that loves playing with the timeline, the ending will change based on your decisions in the game. The world is not as forgiving as it used to be, so you need to look for scrap to trade and craft.
The fight against these ruthless cybernetic beings will lead us to explore sprawling environments where the management of resources will make the difference between life and death: through the completion of the parallel missions to the main plot, moreover, we will be able to rise in the ranks of the Resistance to acquire new ability and gain access to even more devastating weapons. Protect a motley crew of survivors, each with their own motivations and backstories.
It's set to launch on November 15 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
