"Excuse me, my kids are here".

Kube was in studio reporting on the Turkish military offensive in northern Syria, when her young son, who was visiting the studio, popped up behind her and stole the spotlight.

News' national security and Pentagon correspondent Courtney Kube was doing a live on air broadcast when she was interrupted by her four-year-old son!

Any parent who's had to bring their kids with them to work these school holidays will sympathise with Courtney Kube, a TV journalist in the United States whose young son wandered onto the set while she was broadcasting live. While some were delighted to see this moment between a mother and her son, some took a hilarious route to react. As she's talking, Kube casually puts her hand down to gently move him out of the shot, but her son reaches for her instead.

"Sometimes unexpected breaking news happens while you're reporting breaking news".

Ms Kube, 41, left many impressed with her multi-tasking skills.

Another user wrote: "Perfectly handled".

Watchers also praised Kube for handling the situation with warmth and grace.

However, she remains extremely calm and even smiles on camera. She has a master's degree from American University, lives by the beach with her three kids and husband and hopes to own a pig one day.
