Waiters was said to have suffered a "medical emergency" on the team's flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles, and while a Heat spokesman refused to offer any specific details on the situation, Andy Slater of FOX Sports was able to unearth some additional information.
Four other Heat players sat out Friday's game against the Lakers with various injuries, the report said. "He had a seizure when he was finally woken up, I'm told".
As in our original story, the Miami Heat have yet to comment.
