Netflix series 'Dolly Parton's Heartstrings' releases first trailer

The trailer gives a glimpse into every one of eight episodes, while Dolly can be heard speaking about her work in voiceover. Throughout the series, hits "Two Doors Down", "If I Had Wings", "JJ Sneed", "These Old Bones", "Down from Dover", "Sugar Hill", "Cracker Jack" and "Jolene" all get treated to their own episodes. She will serve as the singer and songwriter for the series, and in previous statement she said, "I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favorite songs to life with Netflix".

"Songs - they're just stories set to music", Parton says in the trailer, which premiered via People. It's the melody of my memories.

The queen of country music, Dolly Parton, is turning her classic songs into a new series.

The eight hour-long episodes range from love stories and family dramas to westerns and revenge comedies. "It's the sound of my heartstrings".

The series' cast includes the likes of Kathleen Turner, Ginnifer Goodwin, Delta Burke, Melissa Leo and Julianne Hough.

She explains how each of her songs tells a personal story. The episode pits Jolene and Babe (Parton) in a love triangle, according to a Netflix press release.

She has also had a successful acting career, receiving a Golden Globe in 1980 for New Star of the Year for her performance in 9 to 5 and has appeared in many films over the years including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), which earned her a Golden Globe nomination, Rhinestone (1984) and Steel Magnolias (1989). But Miley was doing other things. We have Dollywood, and this is one of the most lovely places in the world.
