If this happens, the OnePlus 8 Pro will become the world's first smartphone to come with this display. The OnePlus 8 Pro will have a hole-punch display on the front, thus letting go of the pop-up selfie camera which was on the OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 8 will probably stick with a 90Hz display which the company used in three phones thus far. OnePlus, earlier this year launched the OnePlus 7 Pro with a 90Hz display, and it now looks like the renowned "flagship killer" but won't be stopping at that.
The leaked renders of the OnePlus 8 show off the notch on the top left of the smartphone, similar to some Galaxy A series smartphones. Later, when the OnePlus 7T was launched, OnePlus confirmed that all its future smartphones will come with a 90Hz display or higher.
As per a tipster, the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro will boast a super smooth display with 120Hz refresh rate. However, a 120Hz display and the latest and greatest SoC means that buyers may have to shell out more for the upcoming smartphone. Visually speaking, a higher refresh rate enables the content over the display to flow up and down very smoothly with lesser friction. OnePlus 8 Pro is going to be the first OnePlus smartphone by the company to come with a quad camera system.
On the rear, it will house a total of four cameras including a vertically-aligned triple lens unit and a separate ToF sensor. The OnePlus logo will stay at the back as same.
OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 8 series during Q2 2020.
On the sides of OnePlus 8 Pro, the same Alert Slider and Power button will be on the right edge, while the Volume Button will stay at the left. At present, there are rumors that the new smartphone model will have more RAM and storage and there will also be some upgrades regarding the charging technology.
