WhatsApp adds shopping catalogue feature on its app for businesses

Once this messaging app creates a catalogue via the new feature then it can be shared as a part of business profile or in a chat while having conversation with a customer using the WhatsApp Business app.

For example, you can add product images, description, and many other details about your product in this listing.

The feature is now available in Brazil, Germany, India, Indonesia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. Later, it will roll out to other countries understanding the impact of the feature.

Unveiled during the Facebook F8 2019 conference, the Product Catalogs feature on WhatsApp was meant for small businesses to be able to showcase their products in a single place. With chats and now catalogs, all that WhatsApp has to do is enable payments on the platform, and its Business app might become a full-blown, powerful e-commerce marketplace.
